Our creator

Andrew's wine career started in Mudgee as a vintage lab assistant way back in 2000 with Simon Gilbert Wine Services. After 5 years and many different roles, Andrew moved next door to Logan Wines as an assistant winemaker.

Over the next 8 years, Andrew and Peter Logan worked closely together making quality cool climate wines predominantly from the Orange Region.

He later took on the role as a Vintage Winemaker and Cellar Operations manager at Robert Oatley in 2013 and was awarded the Heroes and Icon scholarship for young winemakers by the  Mudgee Grape Growers Association.

Deciding to spread his wings, he and his young family moved to the Hunter Valley in 2016 taking on the role as a 2IC Winemaker at Pepper Tree Wines. In 2017, Andrew was put in charge of Carillion Wines portfolio and in charge of production and making a portfolio of over 20 wines.

In 2020, Andrew jumped across to Carillion full time and is currently the Senior Winemaker for the company.

2021 was a break out year for Andrew being nominated for Hunter Valley Rising Star of the year as well as participating in Young Gun of Wine and accumulating numerous gold medals and trophies for Carillion.

2021 also provided Andrew ample opportunity for Andrew to begin exploring his side business, AGITATE! Kicking it off with a Pet Nat Riesling and Syrah both originating from Orange. The theme for AGITATE is "Raw and Textured" which is reflected in the wine styles and the label which has beautifully designed by Elise Shears Designs.

The goal is to craft wine styles with minimalistic and thoughtful practices both in the vineyard and winery. These wines are curated by Andrew and his wife Natalie who love these drinks which are fun and ultimately gulpable.
